Opened in 1991, Victoria Feeds Horse and Hound has evolved into a 9,000 square foot operation, one third of which is comprised of a retail store on Willowdale Court in Lindsay.
Owned and operated by Holly Porter for just more than five years, the business caters to customers’ tack, equestrian equipment, and pet food and supply needs, with feed, bedding, and farm and fencing supplies in abundance. Most recently, a large off-leash dog park was added to the mix, providing a great pit stop location for those headed to and from cottage country.
Porter, who has worked at Victoria Feeds since she was a teen, says when the opportunity came to purchase the business, she jumped on it.
Porter adds while the sale of products is a focus, knowledge of those products is key to a lasting relationship with customers who are looking for advice as to what product best fits their needs.
