You can officially cool off as splash pad season gets underway across the city.
The City of Peterborough announced that all municipal splash pads are now open for the season, along with the water feature located at Quaker Foods City Square.
City splash pads feature a variety of interactive elements designed for children and families, including spray tunnels, tipping pots and water willow features.
Most splash pads will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the summer months. The splash pad at Riverview Park and Zoo will run daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
City officials encourage residents to follow posted rules and guidelines while using the facilities.
Additional information, including splash pad locations and safety information, is available through the City of Peterborough’s website at peterborough.ca/splash.
