STUFF TO DO
Tuesday: The Peterborough Historical Society will host an evening presentation exploring the lives and legacies of two of Canada’s best-known literary pioneers. “My Life with Susanna Moodie and Catharine Parr Traill: Academic and Personal Reflections” will be presented by Michael Peterman from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Peterborough Lions Community Centre.
Tuesday: Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service is hosting a Celebrity Server fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. at Boston Pizza. The event will see local personalities and community members serving guests to help raise funds and awareness in support of community initiatives connected to the paramedic service.
Wednesday: City of Peterborough is celebrating National Public Works Week with a community event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Nicholls Oval. The event will highlight the work of public works staff and services that help maintain city infrastructure and operations, with activities and displays aimed at engaging residents and families.
Wednesday: Lakelands Public Health is hosting a City of Kawartha Lakes Community Town Hall beginning at 7 p.m. at Days Inn & Suites Lindsay. The event will provide residents with an opportunity to hear updates, ask questions and discuss community health-related topics affecting the City of Kawartha Lakes.
