A 51-year-old Peterborough man is facing several drug trafficking charges after being arrested on an outstanding warrant.
According to the Peterborough Police Service, officers with the Drug Unit spotted the man at about 3:15 p.m. on May 8 in the area of Hunter Street and Bethune Street and took him into custody.
Police say the man was wanted on warrants for allegedly failing to comply with probation conditions.
During a search following the arrest, officers allegedly seized 6.8 grams of methamphetamine, 68.1 grams of cocaine, 29.8 grams of fentanyl, Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia.
The accused has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, cocaine and other drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order.
Police say the accused was held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday court on May 9.
