Women of Peterborough and the Kawartha were honoured at the PTBO Chamber Women in Business Luminary awards at Trent University.
Over 60 nominations were made with seven awards to be given out to many prestigious women in the region on Thursday.
PTBOToday.ca spoke with Susan Dunkley, who is the Chair of the Board for the Peterborough+Kawartha Chamber of Commerce.
Many of the recipients and nominees are owners of small businesses who are right here in Peterborough and the Kawarthas.
The recipients of the awards for the 2026 Luminary awards are:

Emerging Entrepreneur – Chasley Keepfer from the Cheeky Duck Vineyard & Kitchen Farmacy
Trailblazer – Leanne Crump of the Kawartha Family Health Clinic
Barrier Buster -Ashley Flynn owner and operator Blackrock Developments
Building Belonging – Jennie Lawson from Havelock Metal Inc
Community Catalyst – Lois Tuffin
Legacy – Dr. Jenny Ingram
