Friday: Low-cost rabies vaccine clinic — Lakelands Public Health and the Peterborough Humane Society are hosting a pet vaccination clinic from 11 am–3 pm at the North Kawartha Community Centre in Apsley. The clinic offers rabies vaccines for dogs and cats at $40 per pet, with advance registration required. Dogs must be leashed and cats secured in carriers.
Friday: Tommy Youngsteen – The Very Best of Creedence Clearwater Revival — Tweed & Company Theatre presents a tribute concert featuring Toronto-based musicians from Juno-winning bands at 7:30 pm at the Bancroft Village Playhouse. Additional performance on Saturday at 3 pm. Tickets are $46.50 plus tax.
Friday and Saturday: Feelings in Fabric – Kawartha Quiltmakers’ Guild quilt show — The Kawartha Quiltmakers’ Guild hosts its first quilt show since 2018 on Friday, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, at the Peterborough Sport & Wellness Centre. The event features quilt displays, vendors, a members’ boutique, antique quilts, charity raffles, and a featured quilter, along with services like tool sharpening. Admission is $10 (cash only), with light refreshments available on site.
Saturday: Junior Builders Workshop — Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region will host a hands-on parent-and-child building session invites families to take part from 9:30–11 am. Designed for kids to explore basic tools and simple construction projects alongside a caregiver, the workshop includes all materials, with planter boxes being built for this week’s project. Cost is $30 per child, with limited spots available.
Saturday: East City Neighbourhood Yard Sale — A community-wide yard sale takes place from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine, across East City. With more than 80 homes participating, the event features a wide mix of vintage items, handmade goods, and second-hand finds. Beyond shopping, it’s designed as a neighbourhood gathering that encourages connection and community spirit throughout the day.
Saturday: Finding Home: A Salmon Journey Upstream — Public Energy Performing Arts and the Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough present a family-friendly theatre performance at 4 pm at the Peterborough Theatre Guild. The Dora Award–winning show, created by Theatre Direct and Animacy Theatre Collective, blends puppetry, dance, clown, and live music to tell a story about friendship and growing up through the journey of two salmon. Designed for ages 5–12, tickets are $18 for adults and $8 for children (fees included).
