A new clothing collection aimed at sparking conversations around mental health is launching as part of Mental Health Week.
The Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge is unveiling the line, which features original designs created by three local artists. The collection blends mental health advocacy with community connection, with messages centred on knowledge, hope and belonging.
The initiative builds on the organization’s previous clothing line tied to its band, the Reachers, and continues its focus on creative ways to engage the community.
Jack Veitch, Manager of Community Engagement and Education with CMHA HKPR, said working with the artists has been an inspiring process, noting the designs are both meaningful and wearable while helping promote important conversations around mental health.
Partial proceeds from each purchase will go toward supporting CMHA HKPR programs and services across the region, helping improve access to mental health supports for individuals and families.
The collection is produced in partnership with Ricarts Apparel, with items available for purchase through the CMHA HKPR website.
