Provincial police are searching for two suspects following a violent early morning home invasion and robbery in Verulam Township.
The Ontario Provincial Police say officers with the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment responded shortly before 7 a.m. on April 26th, to a residence on Devitts Road.
Police say three male suspects entered the home, assaulted the homeowner and demanded money and firearms before fleeing with several chainsaws.
One suspect has since been arrested, but investigators are still looking for two others.
Police describe suspect #2 as a white male wearing a red hoodie, with a full beard, approximately 5-foot-7 and 190 pounds with a muscular build and a tattoo sleeve on his right hand. No description has been provided for suspect #3.
Investigators say the suspects fled the scene in a dark-coloured Ford F-250-style pickup truck.
Police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
The investigation is ongoing.
