A new business initiative was launched by the Peterborough Regional Health Centre PRHC known as the Business Cares Program, allowing local businesses to give back to the community.
The launch took place at local restaurant Hanoi House, who stood alongside the PRHC announcement as the first business to get involved with the initiative.
The launch marks a new opportunity for businesses to strengthen connections with their customers, employees, and communities with local businesses across the region invited to join in making an active effort to advance healthcare within the Foundation’s $70 million Campaign for PRHC.
PTBOToday spoke to the owner of Hanoi House, Susan Tung about her reasons for being involved with the Business Cares program.
Hanoi House has already raised over $3000 over the years for patient care, Tung says becoming a Business Cares partner formalizes that commitment.
Whether it’s hosting a fundraiser, running a point-of-purchase promotion, becoming a sponsor, or even making a direct contribution, businesses are able to support the initiative in a way that best suits their goals as a business.
President and CEO of the PRHC Foundation, Lesley Heighway highlights how these businesses are actually making an impact.
As a regional hospital serving more than 600 000 people across Peterborough and surrounding areas the PRHC relies on community support and contributions to fund new equipment and technology that is used to give the best care possible.
With the launch of this program the PRHC is inviting businesses of all sizes to join the program to make an impact in the community.
