The East City Neighbourhood Yard Sale is fast approaching, offering the chance to score great bargains while connecting with neighbours.
Set for May 9th and again organized by East City PTBO, the first community yard sale was held in 2021. It has since blossomed into an annual tradition that last year saw 120 households take part.
A map of the yard sale locations will be posted the first week of May at www.eastcityptbo.ca. Those wishing to be on the map can register at the same website.
East City PTBO founder Ashley Bonner organized the first sale for Mother’s Day in honour of her mom who passed away the year prior.
Not lost on Bonner is how quickly the East City Neighbourhood Yard sale has established itself as one of the premier events for bargain hunters alongside the annual Gilmour Street Garage Sale.
Bonner says the neighbourhood connection aspect of the yard sale is the real benefit.
