A brand new week of Petes hockey opened up with a visit by the Windsor Spitfires on Thursday night.
Petes were coming off a win on the road in Niagara last weekend, while the Spitfires had one 5 of their last 6 games including three straight shut out wins for their goaltender Michael Newlove.
That shutout streak would last about 190 minutes before coming to a halt thanks to a 1st period goal by James McMurray.
Despite scoring the opening goal, Windsor would leave Peterborough with a 4-3 win.
Freq 90.5’s Stew Kernan says special teams made the difference in this game
The Petes next action is Sunday afternoon when the Ice Dogs come to town. The Petes will also be honouring 70 years of hockey at the PMC. Freq 90.5 will have the action starting at around 2pm.
