Parks Canada will temporarily close the Maria Street Swing Bridge on November 6, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to complete essential maintenance and repair work ahead of its planned replacement.
The work will help maintain the safe use of the bridge until it is removed as part of the replacement project, scheduled to begin December 7.
Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists are asked to plan their trips accordingly and use alternate routes during the closure. Detour signage will be in place.
