Peterborough residents can enjoy a month of unique burgers while supporting local community programs as the Ultimate Burger Battle returns for a second year.
The fundraiser, organized by United Way Peterborough & District, runs November 1 to 30, bringing together 11 local restaurants to compete for the title of Peterborough and County’s Ultimate Burger of the Year.
Each participating restaurant has created a one-of-a-kind burger available exclusively throughout November. For every Ultimate Burger sold, $2 will be donated to United Way to support local programs and initiatives.
Jason Seguya, CEO of United Way Peterborough & District, says the campaign is a fun way to bring the community together while supporting a good cause.
Last year’s competition saw more than 1,000 burgers sold locally, raising $2,065 for United Way. This year’s event features an expanded lineup of restaurants, with everything from creative combinations to reimagined classics.
Participating restaurants include Agave by Imperial, Ashburnham Ale House, Boston Pizza’s North and South locations, Double D’z, La Mesita, Law and Orders, Papas Burgerland, Pizza Villa and Pasta House, Riley’s, Taso’s and The Vine. This year’s Burger Ambassadors include Tracey Germa, Brenda Whitehead, Phillip Joliceur, Rose Terry, Dani Guppy, Adam Hopkins and Peterborough Century 21 Lakers mascot Teddy.
Residents can take part by visiting any of the participating restaurants and ordering their featured burger throughout November.
