A new exhibit featuring some of the most recognizable prehistoric creatures to ever walk the Earth is coming to the Peterborough Museum and Archives.
“Horned Dinosaurs: More Than Triceratops” opens November 7, offering visitors a chance to explore the fascinating world of horned dinosaurs and learn more about their evolution and place in Earth’s history.
Developed by Research Casting International, the exhibit features dinosaur displays, striking skulls and interpretive information exploring iconic species such as Triceratops and other members of the ceratopsian family.
Visitors will learn how these animals lived, what made their distinctive horns and frills unique, and how they evolved and interacted with their environments millions of years ago.
Susan Neale, Director of the Peterborough Museum and Archives, says the museum is excited to bring another engaging dinosaur exhibit to the community.
Neale says the exhibit encourages visitors to get curious, ask questions and discover what these remarkable creatures can tell us about life millions of years ago.
The exhibit runs from November 7 to March 21, 2027, at the Peterborough Museum and Archives, located at 300 Hunter Street East.
Opening weekend hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8. The museum will also offer extended hours on November 11, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is a suggested donation of $20 per group.
The museum’s regular hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 5 p.m. on weekends and most holidays.
