The Lakefield Animal Welfare Society (LAWS) has launched another 50-50 raffle to help fund the care of animals at its Lakefield Road shelter.
Tickets are available at LAWS front desk and online at www.lakefieldanimalwelfare.org until 1 p.m. December 1st, with the draw held at 2 p.m.
Director of operations Lyndsay Lisson De-Ell says the success of past raffles, including one earlier this year which saw the winner take home $8,300, was a factor in bringing it back.
Lisson De-Ell outlines how the money raised helps the shelter.
Lisson De-Ell says notifying the raffle winner is a job perk she loves.
Tickets are being sold in increments of three for $5, 10 for $10, 25 for $20 and 50 for $35.
