Peterborough Transit riders are being advised of upcoming service changes affecting three routes, with adjustments taking effect Sunday, November 1, 2026.
The City of Peterborough says the changes will affect Route 2 Chemong, Route 7 Lansdowne and Route 14 O’Tech Connect.
The adjustments include updated departure times, continued detours and revised service designed to improve connections for passengers.
Route 2 Chemong
Minor timetable changes are being introduced to better align service.
Riders who regularly use the Chemong route are encouraged to review the updated schedule before travelling, as some departure times may change.
Route 7 Lansdowne
Passengers using Route 7A will continue travelling through the Lift Lock Tunnel rather than returning to the usual route over the Maria Street Bridge.
The city says the temporary routing will remain in place because of upcoming construction.
Route 14 O’Tech Connect
The most significant adjustments involve Route 14, which connects several destinations in the city’s south and southeast areas.
Beginning November 1, the first trip of the day will depart at 5:55 a.m. and operate as a shorter, more direct trip to Technology Drive.
Regular weekday service will begin at 6:35 a.m., with the final trip departing at 10:35 p.m.
The city says the changes were developed using feedback from transit customers and operators.
Route 14 connects the Peterborough Transit Terminal, Memorial Centre, River Road, Bensfort Road, Neal Drive, Technology Drive and Willowcreek Plaza.
Riders encouraged to check schedules
Passengers who rely on any of the affected routes should review the updated timetables before November 1, particularly those travelling early in the morning or late in the evening.
