A 33-year-old Oshawa man is facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation by the Peterborough Police Service Drug Unit.
Police say members of the Drug Unit, assisted by the Emergency Response Team, arrested the man at a building in the Talwood Drive and Goodfellow Road area at approximately 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
During a search following the arrest, officers seized 44.3 grams of cocaine and 30.1 grams of fentanyl.
The Oshawa man was charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking — opioid other than heroin — and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
The charges have not been proven in court.
