PTBOToday.ca asked councillor candidates to submit a brief bio, recent photo and short audio-recorded statement to represent their campaign.
Kevin was elected to City Council in November 2022, serving as one of two Otonabee Ward Councillors. He serves in the following capacities:
- Vice-Chair, Otonabee Region Conservation Authority
- Chair, Economic Development Working Group
- Vice-Chair, Mayors Housing Task Force
- Co-Chair, Infrastructure, Planning and Growth Management
Kevin successfully launched his own Planning Consulting Company in December 2005. His planning work includes a wide range of development, land use and related projects throughout Central and Eastern Ontario. This works requires a demonstrated understanding of provincial and municipal policies, procedures, regulations and decision-making environments. This followed 16 successful years as the City of Peterborough Land Use Planner. He also worked for 8 years as a Parks and Recreation Director in three Ontario Communities.
Kevin is married (wife – Barbara) and is a proud father of four adult children and grandfather to 6 grandchildren. He is an active community volunteer serving as a member of the Rotary Club of Peterborough (Past – President 2014/15 and 2020/21 both) and as a Board Member of the 5 Counties Children’s Centre (2009 to 2014), and several other community, provincial and national Board of Directors.
In his spare time, he plays hockey, kayaks, and spending time with his family!
