PTBOToday.ca asked councillor candidates to submit a brief bio, recent photo and short audio-recorded statement to represent their campaign.
Chris Potter moved to Peterborough from Toronto more than 20 years ago, and he’s never thought of it as temporary. This is where he put down roots, raised his son, built businesses and became part of the community. These days, if someone asks where he’s from, his answer is simple: Peterborough.
As a dad, entrepreneur, marketing professional, actor and community advocate, Chris has met people from every corner of the city and heard about the challenges they deal with every day. They all say the same thing, change is needed.
He believes community is built by showing up, listening and helping where you can, especially when people feel unheard or left behind.
Chris is running for City Council in Otonabee Ward 1 because he cares deeply about the city he chose to call home. He wants Peterborough to feel safe, affordable and well cared for, with a revitalized downtown, better roads and a City Hall that respects how hard residents work for their money.
He’s ready to bring a grounded, approachable voice to council and work with people across the city to get Peterborough moving in a better direction.
