An annual celebration that highlights plant-based food and lifestyle options returns to Millennium Park September 13th.
Being held for an eighth time from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Peterborough VegFest will feature 20 food vendors and community organizations along with local musicians and a kids’ zone. Attendees will have the opportunity to try food dishes and browse veg-friendly products.
Festival chair Natalie Stephenson adopted a vegan lifestyle 21 years ago after visiting a similar festival. She says plant-based food options have come a long way since.
Stephenson says Peterborough VegFest has proven to be a turning point for many considering a vegetarian lifestyle.
Stephenson notes Peterborough is blessed with a lot of restaurants that offered plant-based food options as part of their menu – many of which will be on hand at VegFest.
