A 47-year-old Peterborough woman is facing drug trafficking and driving charges following an early-morning traffic stop.
Peterborough Police say officers were clearing an unrelated call at approximately 12:37 a.m. Sunday when they noticed a vehicle with an unsecured trunk.
Officers stopped the vehicle and determined the driver was under suspension. She was taken into custody.
Police say a subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 6.1 grams of crack cocaine, five hydromorphone pills and 2.5 grams of marijuana.
Officers also seized Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia, including weigh scales, clear plastic bags, a measuring cup and an empty pill bottle.
The accused was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and driving while under suspension.
The charges have not been proven in court.
