Peterborough County OPP are investigating a reported bomb threat involving a school in Norwood Wednesday morning.
Police say they received a call about a potential bomb threat received by the school at approximately 6:45 a.m. on September 9.
School staff immediately activated their safety protocols and contacted police.
Officers arrived within minutes and conducted a sweep of the school.
OPP say the search determined there was no immediate risk to the safety of students or staff.
The Peterborough County OPP Major Crime Unit has now been brought in to assist with the investigation as police work to determine the source of the threat.
No information has been released about how the threat was received or whether police have identified any suspects.
