A fox sighting prompted a brief hold and secure at St. Catherine Catholic Elementary School.
In a message to families on Tuesday morning, school officials said staff spotted the fox in the school yard and placed the school in a hold and secure as a precaution.
Students and staff remained safely inside the building while the situation was assessed.
The hold and secure has since been lifted, and officials say the school day is continuing as usual.
No injuries or other safety concerns were reported.
School officials thanked families for their cooperation and understanding while staff responded to the situation, adding that the safety and well-being of students and staff remains their top priority.
