A longtime Peterborough restaurant has closed its doors after a quarter-century in business.
Daisy Chinese Restaurant announced on social media that it has ceased operations as of September 1, bringing an end to nearly 25 years serving the community.
The restaurant had been open since October 2001.
In its closing announcement, the business said the decision comes as those behind the restaurant are ready for a break and a change of pace.
“A long break and a change of pace is greatly needed,” the restaurant said in its message.
Daisy Chinese Restaurant also thanked the community for its support and kindness throughout the years.
The announcement generated a significant response on social media, with customers sharing memories and expressing disappointment over the closure.
