Local entrepreneurs and small business owners will have access to nine free workshops this fall as Community Futures Peterborough brings back its Entrepreneurship 101 series.
The Fall 2026 program has been expanded with three new workshops and two updated sessions covering topics ranging from testing a business idea and bookkeeping to branding, marketing and social media.
Community Futures Peterborough says the expanded lineup was developed in response to issues frequently raised during its one-on-one consultations with local entrepreneurs.
The series begins September 24 with “Market Ready,” a new workshop focused on testing business ideas and understanding potential markets.
Other sessions will cover business planning, funding opportunities, cash-flow forecasting and intellectual property.
A new Bookkeeping Bootcamp will be held October 29, while expanded marketing and branding workshops are scheduled for November 5 and November 12.
Another new session, Digital Impact, will focus on online marketing ahead of the holiday season and takes place November 19.
The series wraps up November 26 with a workshop examining intellectual property for small businesses.
Each session runs for one hour and will be held in the Everest Boardroom at the Venture North Building.
Organizers say participants will receive worksheets, templates and other resources they can apply directly to their businesses.
The workshops are designed for people at different stages of entrepreneurship, from those considering an initial business idea to established owners looking to expand or improve their operations.
Community Futures Peterborough says space is limited and early registration is encouraged.
