A 26-year-old Cambridge man is facing impaired driving charges following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 35 in Kawartha Lakes.
City of Kawartha Lakes OPP say officers were called to the collision at approximately 9:50 p.m. Sunday, August 30.
Police say the vehicle had left the roadway and ended up in the eastbound ditch on Highway 35 near Mount Horeb Road in Ops Township.
Following an investigation, officers arrested the driver.
The accused has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80-plus.
Police say his driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date.
The charges have not been proven in court.
