Three people are facing fraud-related charges after Kawartha Lakes Police investigated a suspected fraud at a car dealership in Lindsay.
Police say officers responded to the dealership on Tuesday, after receiving a report of a possible fraud in progress.
During the investigation, officers allege several people were found to be in possession of fraudulent identification documents, leading to additional criminal charges.
A 59-year-old man from Milton has been charged with fraud over $5,000, possession of an identity document, personation with intent and possession of property obtained by crime.
A 24-year-old man from St. Catharines is charged with fraud over $5,000 and possession of an identity document.
A 31-year-old woman from Concord faces the same two charges.
All three accused were arrested and later released from custody. They are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
The charges have not been proven in court.
