Peterborough Police have released the name of a Lakefield man charged with sexual assault as investigators look into the possibility of additional complainants.
Police say they were notified in July about an incident at a business in the High Street and Lansdowne Street area of Peterborough.
According to police, a customer reported being sexually assaulted during a massage appointment.
Following an investigation, officers arrested 24-year-old Isaac Griffin of Lakefield on July 20. He has been charged with sexual assault.
Griffin was released on an undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on October 13.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing and that they have released the accused’s name because investigators believe there may be other complainants.
According to police, Griffin is no longer practising as a registered massage therapist.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Peterborough Police at 705-876-1122 ext. 308 or Crime Stoppers.
The charge has not been proven in court.
