A 28-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges following an alleged domestic incident.
Peterborough Police say officers were notified on Wednesday, August 19, about an incident involving a man and woman who had been in a relationship.
Police allege the man took money and alcohol from the woman before grabbing her, pushing her to the ground and leaving the residence.
Officers later attended the suspect’s residence and took him into custody without incident.
As a result of the investigation, the accused was charged with robbery with violence and failure to comply with an undertaking.
Police say the accused was already bound by an undertaking that included a condition prohibiting him from having contact with the woman.
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on August 20.
The charges have not been proven in court.
