A 42-year-old Cameron man is facing impaired driving and traffic charges following a traffic stop south of Lindsay.
City of Kawartha Lakes OPP say officers were conducting speed enforcement on Highway 35 in Ops Township at approximately 10:04 p.m. on August 17 when they stopped a vehicle for speeding.
Police say officers subsequently began an impaired driving investigation and arrested the driver.
The accused has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired with a blood-alcohol concentration of 80-plus, speeding between one and 49 km/h over the posted limit and driving a motor vehicle with open liquor in baggage.
The charges have not been proven in court.
