An annual festival built around the belief that there’s unity incommunity returns to Peterborough on the Labour Day weekend.
Set for September 4th to 6th at Del Crary Park, the Good News Festival will see several city churches come together to offer aprogram of inspiring messages, live music and outreach initiatives.
First held in 2019, the free admission festival has since broughttogether people of all denominations in a public outdoor spacewhere the focus is on unity, revival and societal transformation.
Reverend Stanly Thankachan, founder and executive director ofevent organizer Ark of God Canada, says something new this yearis an outdoor service on September 6th led by Living Hope Church followed by a 4 p.m. community barbecue sponsored by Kawartha Men’s Group. Reverend Thankachan notes attendees will hear testimonies from people who were changed by the love of God.
Reverend Thankachan says the festival’s name was chosen to reflect a core message.
