Here is a quick snapshot of what’s happening around town the next 48 hours.
STUFF TO DO
Wednesday: Trans Canada Highwaymen will take the Peterborough Musicfest stage in Del Crary Park starting at 8 p.m.
Wednesday: The Peterborough Astronomical Association presents a partial solar eclipse viewing at the Riverview Park and Zoo. The eclipse process will start at 12:53 p.m., with the sun being midway through the eclipse with maximum coverage by 1:40 p.m. Then the moon will reveal more of the sun’s disk until the eclipse ends at 2:27 p.m. Safe solar viewing equipment will be provided for participants.
Thursday: Hutchison House is hosting their 34th annual Peach Tea from noon to 4 p.m. The summer social will include tea and scones, with a seating each hour. Reservations are required for this event, and can be made by calling the museum office at (705) 743-9710 or emailing info@hutchisonhouse.ca.
LOCAL SPORTS:
August 13: The Strong Kids Duathlon will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Sunny Life Recreation & Wellness Centre in Campbellford. Young athletes are invited to come out and participate in a swimming and running challenge. More information can be found online.
