The Peterborough Humane Society’s annual golf tournament has raised more than $21,000 to support animals in need across the community.
The 2nd Annual PHS Golf Tournament was held July 23 at Quarry Golf Club, bringing together more than 130 golfers, sponsors and supporters for a day of fundraising and fun.
The event featured a full round of golf, silent and live auctions, and community networking, with proceeds supporting the programs and services offered by the Peterborough Humane Society.
Organizers say this year’s tournament saw increased participation, sponsorship support and fundraising compared with the inaugural event.
“Any opportunity to enjoy perfect weather with our wonderful supporters while talking about our mission and raising funds is a good day,” said PHS CEO Shawn Morey.
Following the success of this year’s event, the Humane Society has already announced the 3rd Annual PHS Golf Tournament will take place July 22, 2027, at Quarry Golf Club.
