Temporary load restrictions have been put in place on the Television Road bridge over Meade Creek while repair work is carried out to restore the structure’s full load capacity.
The bridge is located on Television Road between Keene Road and Maniece Avenue, just north of the intersection of Lansdowne Street East and Highway 7/115.
During the repairs, vehicles will be subject to the following weight limits:
- Single-unit vehicles: 9 tonnes
- Two-unit vehicles: 17 tonnes
- Vehicle trains: 23 tonnes
Vehicles exceeding those limits are required to use alternate routes.
The City is also asking drivers of overweight vehicles to avoid using local residential roads as detours while the restrictions remain in effect.
The repair work is intended to strengthen the bridge and restore its full load capacity.
