A 54-year-old Oshawa resident has died following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in North Kawartha.
Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, along with emergency crews, responded to reports of a collision on Northeys Bay Road near Fire Route 19 Road shortly before 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 25.
Police say the motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A section of Northeys Bay Road was closed in both directions for several hours while the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team assisted with the investigation. The roadway has since reopened.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dash camera footage is asked to contact Peterborough OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
