A 44-year-old Peterborough man is facing multiple charges following an alleged knife incident in the city.
Peterborough Police say officers were called to the Romaine Street and Park Street North area around 10:40 p.m. on July 22 after a man reported that he had been threatened by an unknown male in a parking lot.
Police say the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and made verbal threats before leaving the area. The victim was not injured.
The suspect was not located immediately, but officers on general patrol later found a man matching the description at approximately 2 a.m. on July 23 near Park Street and Romaine Street.
Police say a search following the arrest led to the seizure of a small folding knife.
The accused faces charges of assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The accused was held in custody and scheduled to appear in court July 23.
