A Peterborough man is facing multiple charges after police say an employee at a local business was threatened with a knife.
Peterborough Police Service says officers were called around 8 p.m. on July 14 to a business in the area of Lansdowne Street and Webber Avenue after receiving a report that a man had pulled a knife on an employee.
Police say the suspect had left the area before officers arrived. A description of the individual was provided and shared with officers in the area.
The suspect was later located by police in the area of Haggart Street and Ware Street.
Following an investigation, the 53-year-old accused was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, theft under $5,000 and mischief under $5,000.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 28.
