While Peterborough mayor Jeff Leal remains mum on his re-election plans, a sixth candidate has entered the race for the city’s top elected post.
Brian Lumsden joins Keith Riel, Dr. Michael Eamon, Neil Morton, Rebecca Schillemat and Jacob Méthot as candidates for mayor.
Meanwhile, the ward races have seen some additions, with Jenni Cathcart a candidate for one of two Town Ward seats, and Debbie Halstead and Paul Lawton among six Northcrest Ward hopefuls.
Including the six candidates for mayor, 28 people are running for one of eleven city council seats. The municipal election will be held on October 26th.
