A report of a suspicious person in Campbellford has led to drug charges against a Warkworth man, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.
Northumberland OPP say officers were called to Church Street on May 28, at around 5:30 p.m. after receiving a complaint about a suspicious individual in the area.
Police located a person matching the description provided and, following further investigation, seized a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine.
As a result, 48-year-old Richard Walsh of Warkworth has been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance, namely methamphetamine.
Police say the accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in July.
The charge has not been proven in court.
