Making sure local residents get the absolute best care possible is the goal of the PRHC Foundation, and that involves making sure the best equipment possible is available.
Someone who sees the foundation’s impact every shift is Registered Nurse, Emma Harris, who works in the Intensive Care Unit.
The ICU is made up of an interprofessional team of care providers who are committed to providing expert, high-quality patient care, including: Dietitians, Intensivists – Critical Care Physicians, Occupational Therapists, Pharmacists, Physical Therapists, Registered Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Social Workers and Speech Language Pathologists.
Harris says working alongside such professionals is truly amazing.
Patients of the ICU also have contact with additional support services such as laboratory, diagnostic imaging, environmental and nutrition services staff.
Harris says it’s amazing how the community continues to support the PRHC Foundation.
‘Pay To Play’ in support of patient care at PRHC is this Friday (June 5), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., powered by Home Instead. During that time, all $50 song requests will be played, with the entire $50 going directly to the hospital. To request a song, click here.
