Canadiana Cabinets on Brown Line has been commissioned to design and build a soccer ball time capsule in time for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup to be showcased at Toronto’s BMO Field before taking up permanent residence at the Soccer Hall of Fame Ontario in North York.
Canadiana Cabinets customer service advocate Leslee Bax, a former Ontario Soccer board member who now sits on the board of the Soccer Hall of Fame Ontario, says when the idea for the time capsule was broached, she offered to explore if her company could help out.
Bax says those involved in the time capsule’s creation “are very proud.”
As for Canada’s rise to the World Cup stage, Bax says the journey has been a long one.
Founded in 1995 by Bill Barker, Canadiana Cabinets has been in Peterborough since 2011.
