What has become an annual summer-long treat for many is returning to the Jalynn Bennett Amphitheatre at Trent University’s Traill College.
The William and Nona Heaslip Foundation Summer Festival opens on June 4th with New Stages Theatre’s production of Munsch Goes Wild adapted and performed by storyteller M. John Kennedy. Just a week later, on June 11th, New Stages will present Kash and Kerry and Friends, an improv comedy show featuring Linda Kash, Kerry Griffin, Megan Murphy and Kate Suhr.
New Stages artistic director Marc Wallace is thrilled his company has again partnered with the festival to present four shows total, including two more on August 13th and 20th.
Wallace speaks to the different vibe associated with an outdoor performance.
Wallace welcomes the opportunity for New Stages to have a year-round presence on the local cultural landscape.
