The Peterborough is inviting performers, artisans, food vendors and community organizations to apply to take part in this year’s Canada Day celebrations along the waterfront.
The annual event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1 at Del Crary Park following the city’s Canada Day parade, which begins at 10 a.m. Organizers say festivities at the park will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
City officials say the celebration is designed as a family-friendly community event featuring live entertainment, local vendors and activities throughout the afternoon.
This year’s festivities will also include a new partnership with Peterborough Musicfest, bringing additional live performances and music programming to the stages at Del Crary Park.
Applications are now open for local makers, entertainers, food vendors and organizations interested in participating.
Applications can be submitted online through City of Peterborough Canada Day page or picked up in person at Peterborough City Hall on George Street North.
