Bonnie Clark has been recognized for her leadership and regional advocacy efforts after receiving the prestigious Rob Ford Community Leader Award.
Clark, who serves as chair of the Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus, was honoured earlier this month during the annual conference hosted by the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative.
The award is presented annually by the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative along with Ontario’s Agent-General in Chicago, Earl Provost, on behalf of the Government of Ontario.
The recognition highlights individuals who demonstrate strong public service leadership, regional advocacy and community engagement.
Clark was recognized for her work strengthening communities and advancing cross-border collaboration between Canada and the United States through her leadership with the Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus.
Officials say Clark has played a key role in elevating the voice of rural Eastern Ontario on the international stage while helping foster partnerships throughout the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence regions.
The Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus represents municipalities across the region and advocates on issues including infrastructure, economic development, housing and regional connectivity.
