Peterborough County OPP is investigating after a reported bomb threat involving Lakefield College School.
Police say officers were called shortly after 10 a.m. on May 25, after the school received a potential bomb threat. Staff immediately activated safety procedures and contacted police.
Officers arrived within minutes and conducted a sweep of the school. Investigators later confirmed the threat was unfounded and there was no immediate danger to students or staff.
The OPP Major Crime Unit has now been brought in to assist with the ongoing investigation.
Police say investigators have determined the threatening call originated from outside Ontario.
