Residents in Peterborough are being invited to help guide planned improvements at three neighbourhood parks in Otonabee Ward through a series of public consultations and online surveys.
The City of Peterborough says feedback is being gathered for proposed upgrades at Keith Wightman Park, Glenn Pagett Park and Whitefield Park, with a focus on creating inclusive and accessible community spaces.
Officials say the projects will include new amenities and enhancements designed around the needs of nearby residents and regular park users.
Otonabee Ward councillors Lesley Parnell and Kevin Duguay said parks play an important role in supporting active lifestyles and community connections, adding public input will help shape the final designs.
The city will host a series of public drop-in sessions throughout June where residents can speak with staff and share ideas for future park features.
A session for Keith Wightman Park will be held June 4 at Keith Wightman Public School, while consultations for Glenn Pagett Park and Whitefield Park are scheduled for June 17 at the Miskin Law Community Complex.
Residents can also complete online surveys and submit ideas through the city’s Connect Peterborough engagement platform.
Paper copies of the surveys are available at City Hall.
The city says concept plans and additional project updates will be shared online as consultation progresses, with construction on the projects expected to begin in fall 2026.
