More than a year after opening in January 2025, the Miskin Law Community Complex continues to provide Peterborough residents with access to recreation, fitness, library services and community programming all under one roof.
Located on Lansdowne Street West, the facility includes two ice pads, an indoor walking track, public skating programs, meeting spaces and a branch of the Peterborough Public Library. Officials say the complex was designed to create an accessible, year-round gathering place for residents of all ages.
The library branch also gives cardholders access to digital services including PressReader, which offers thousands of newspapers, magazines and articles online at no cost.
PTBOTODAY.ca spoke with Councillor Lesley Parnell about the benefits of expanding access to digital library resources through the complex.
The facility also offers family skates, shinny hockey and adult recreation programs, while the indoor walking track provides residents with a space to stay active throughout the year regardless of weather conditions.
The Miskin Law Community Complex is open daily from six in the morning until 11 at night, with skating schedules and rental information available through the City of Peterborough.
