The first wave of artists that will perform at the 37th annual Peterborough Folk Festival this summer has been announced.
Among those will take to one of four stages August 13th to 16th in Nicholls Oval Park are multi-Juno Award recipient Bahamas, Winnipeg-based Begonia, Polaris Prize-shortlisted songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kelly McMichael, and The Young Novelists, a 2026 Juno Award-nominated duo featuring Peterborough’s Laura Spink.
Festival chair Rob Davis says a lineup featuring numerous Juno Award winners and nominees speaks to the quality of the artists featured.
Davis says while the first wave of artists numbers 13, there are two more artists announcements to come that will bring the total number of acts to around 35.
Davis says the privilege of serving as chair of a cherished annual Peterborough cultural event is never lost on him or his vice-chair.
