Drivers in Peterborough will need to plan for a temporary road closure this weekend as annual maintenance work is carried out on the Parkhill Road Swing Bridge.
Parks Canada says the bridge will be closed to all traffic on Sunday, May 10, from 6 am to 1 pm while crews complete scheduled spring maintenance work.
Detour routes will be posted during the closure.
The City of Peterborough and Parks Canada say the work is part of ongoing efforts to maintain safe and reliable infrastructure while supporting the long-term operation of the Trent–Severn Waterway.
Officials are thanking residents for their patience and cooperation during the temporary closure.
