A 39-year-old Peterborough woman is facing multiple drug trafficking charges after police executed a search warrant at a city residence earlier this month.
On May 1, the Peterborough Police Service Drug Investigation Unit, with assistance from the Emergency Response Team, carried out the warrant at a Murray Street address.
Police say officers located a quantity of suspected illicit drugs and cash during the search, including crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, hydromorphone pills and psilocybin, along with Canadian currency.
In total, investigators seized 6 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 40 grams of fentanyl, 47.5 grams of cocaine, two hydromorphone pills, 3.2 grams of psilocybin and an undisclosed amount of cash.
As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old woman was arrested and charged with four counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
Police say the accused was held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on May 2.
The investigation was carried out by the police drug unit with support from the Emergency Response Team.
